Samoan Aid for Niuatoputapu
A Samoan gift to Tongan Aucklanders means two containers can now be filled for the people harmed by the Tsunami that wrecked much of Niuatoputapu a northern Tongan Island near to Samoa.

Niuatoputapu Assistance

Tongan Ferry Tragedy

Prime Minister John Key said today that a Royal New Zealand Air Force C-130
Hercules aircraft will leave for Tonga this afternoon with a Royal New
Zealand Navy dive team and a remote search team following the ferry
disaster.
The New Zealand Government expresses its deep condolences to the people of
Tonga following this tragedy, says Mr Key.

26% Increase in air visitors to TONGA from NZ
According to figures recently released by the kingsdom's Ministry of Tourism (MOT),air visitors from NZ has increased by 26% for the year 2007. A great recovery after the 16/11 riots of 2006. Compared to Fiji's post coup recover, Tonga's return on the market is remarkable.
